Hello and welcome to the new Greenwich RFC forum. Apologises for the loss of service but our previous providers completely lost our (along with many others) site without being able to recover them. So like the proverbial rat, we have jumped ship to a new host. The forum will gradually improve aesthetically as I get to grips with the configuration.

Anyway, happy posting- may the abuse of your contemporaries begin...... now!!

I noticed that there was nothing in the regulations banning certain hair colours. Without wishing to be colourist can you please confirm that we have to put up with the winging gits on this forum too!

I personally believe that the reason we lost the last forum is because the chief geek was of "that" hair persuasion. I'm all for an inclusive club but surely there must be some degree of restraint shown:twisted:

Next thing they will be applying for positions of power to guarantee themselves a game.

....I too am for a completely open selection policy and those with a distinct lack of pigmentation to their hair (i.e. greying to white) should not be discriminated against. Although, they must recognise, they may be past their best and this is where the 'restraint' must be shown.

Dear Russ

Apologies for the delayed response but the site seemed to be down so I didn't realise you had replied.

Several points to be made here:

You appear to have taken my posting as an attack on yourself. You clearly believe that my reference to "certain hair colours" meant Ginger! There is no evidence to support this belief. Indeed there is evidence that I meant something different altogether to be found in my statement that "we lost the last forum is because the chief geek was of "that" hair persuasion". Neither you nor any other "ginger" were the chief geek (probably not bright enough).

You clearly also believe that the reference to "positions of power" is about you. Rude awakening coming here. Second team captain at GRFC entitles you to have the option of dropping people like the Mekon and Nick Wallden fromthe 2nd XV. It does not constitute power in any sense of the word.

There is obviously a deep seated guilt complex at work somewhere in your psyche that leads you to become hostile when you feel threatened even when there is no real threat. You have as they say "gone off alarming" when you had no need to. It must mean you have a fiery temperament.

Now that you have chosen to launch this unprovoked and misplaced attack I feel that I must respond in similar vein.

I am happy to be "past your best" particularly when that still leaves me streets ahead of many others in their so called prime. Better to be a has-been than a never will be in my book.

Restraint is not a word that has ever been linked with my rugby style.

Bring it on pup!
